About

Ben Strano graduated Berklee College of Music in 2002 and moved directly to Nashville. Utilizing connections made during the Berklee Nashville trip, he was working within one day of his arrival as the manager of a respected independent studio called the HUM Depot. During his tenure at the HUM, Ben engineered for acts such as ZZ Top, .38 Special, Duane Eddy, Peter Cetera, and Jojo Herman of Widespread Panic, and made his accordion playing father proud when he garnered a Grammy Nomination for Best Polka Album, 2003. Sadly the HUM closed its doors in May of 2005, but, as it has been said, shit makes the flowers grow.  Ben currently has a production company with ex-Georgia Satellites frontman Dan Baird, named Ben There Dan That Productions.

Last night Ben There Dan That completed production on Dan Baird and Warner Hodges’ latest venture Homemade Sin, and tonight will start on Texas music icon Chris Knight’s next record.  Ben enjoys online poker and working freelance as an engineer and/or producer, of mostly rock records, for those lucky enough such as Robert Fortune, Jypsi, Kim Mitchell, Carl Pike, the Beauty School Dropouts, and Berklee alums Natalie Stovall and Kristen Cothron.  In a relatively short time, Ben has built a reputation as a promising young talent in the business of making rekkids.   I say Ben you say Strano.  Ben.
